Tighter Standards for
Muncie’s Lead SmelterIKE’s Tom Neltner testified in January before the Indiana Air Pollution Control Board supporting the Indiana Department of Environmental Management’s (IDEM) proposed rule regarding secondary lead smelters. IDEM wants the secondary lead smelter in Muncie to have to follow the same tough conditions as those in Indianapolis rather than new, unexplainably, less stringent standards.
