In move that surprised many, including IDEM, in early March, U.S.EPA sent a letter to all individuals and organizations licensed by IDEM to perform lead-based paint work. Citing Indiana’s failure to get its State Lead Plan approved, the letter demands that they stop work as of March 1 until they get a license from EPA not IDEM. IDEM is scrambling to get the Plan approved quickly.

IKE has been assured that it will get worked out, but , in the meantime, work has slowed or stopped. Momentum lost is tough to regain!
