Janet G. McCabe, JD, Former Executive Director

• Attorney licensed to practice law in Indiana and graduate of Harvard Law School.
• More than twenty years of experience protecting public health and the environment. 
• Assistant Commissioner for the Office of Air Quality at the Indiana Department of Environmental Management from 1998 to 2005.   As Assistant Commissioner, she oversaw all aspects of Indiana’s air pollution control programs, including rulemaking, permitting, monitoring, inspections, and outreach.  Her office also included Indiana’s asbestos and lead-based paint activities programs. 
• Branch Chief for the Office Of Air Quality at IDEM from 1993 to 2003
• Before coming to Indiana in 1993, Ms. McCabe served as Assistant Attorney General for environmental protection for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Assistant Secretary for Environmental Impact Review overseeing environmental impact revised of major public and private projects.

Sandy Wampler, Director of Healthy Schools Program

• Former elementary school teacher who struggled with poor indoor air quality. 
• Advocate for improvements to schools
• Handles complaints about schools in a confidential manner to get action.
• Developed Healthy Schools Guidance to help students, faculty and parents know what their rights and options are to get questions about environmental threats in their school corrected.

Thomas G. Neltner, J.D., CHMM, Former Executive Director

• Attorney and a chemical engineer with experience in state government, academia, non-profit organizations, chemical manufacturing, and corporate environmental affairs.
• Former Assistant Commissioner for the Office of Pollution Prevention and Technical Assistance at the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.
• Co-founder of the Indiana Recycling Coalition and the Environmental Management Institute (a non-profit chemical safety training organization)
