Major Initiatives: | Why do we need an IKE Newsletter? This newsletter is designed to complement and supplement IKE's topical newsletters:
Here are the key features of the IKE Newsletter: What's in it? Short articles and news about issues of general environmental interest on the local, state or national level. We include information about legislative and regulatory developments, advocacy efforts, and anything else we think would be of interest. Who writes it? Janet McCabe is the editor. But anyone can contribute. Just e-mail her at mccabe@ikecoalition.org. We send it out in rich text format with links to the webpage. The webpage has links to key references. E-mail only? To keep costs done, we decided to model it off of the Alliance for Healthy Homes (AFHH) newsletter - see www.afhh.org. The Alliance sends out by e-mail with links to webpages for more information. This approach allows IKE to save not only printing costs but also the significant investment in time formatting the text in a publication. Anyone can ask to get a copy by fax by emailing me at mccabe@ikecoalition.org. Feel free to forward it to others. But what about fax? I would be glad to fax it out to people who don’t have email or really need a hard copy but you will need to tell me who you are.
