54% of homes had more than one obvious code violations likely to cause homes to be abandoned


Using the rating system described above, CHHI found that 54% of the homes two or more serious code violations.  See Figure 4.  This combination makes it likely that the home is not only going to have hazards to residents, but the combination makes it more likely that the home will be abandoned.  The problem is most serious on Broadway, Cornell and Bundy streets.
